WWII Military Police MP Helmet Liner

WWII era Westinghouse manufactured helmet liner.  Exterior of the shell has been painted white with a thick heavy paint.  Front has faint remnant of the initials "MP".  Missing the sweatband and nape straps.  Liner straps are in very good condition however, one on either side is torn loose.  Defiantly a field improvised piece.
